View Documents
The View Documents screen displays all documents that have been added to the system. Documents can be instructions or diagrams and can be in any file format. These Documents are synchronized to Field Eagle Tablets for inspection reference. This screen is accessible from the Data Management drop-down on the top menu bar.
From this view, you can:
- Search Documents
- Add a new Document
- Edit a Document
- Delete a Document
- Sort the grid by clicking on the grid headers
Add Document
Click “Add New Document” from the Documents screen to add a new document. Click “Upload” and navigate on your computer to the location of the Document. The Document name will appear after upload. Click “Delete” to remove the Document.
Users can upload only one document at a time. The system replaces the current document if the user tries to upload multiple documents.
Add a description in the Description field.
- Enter a description for the document.
- To add a tag, type the word or phrase separated by a comma.
- Tags help make a Document more easily searched from the Documents Screen. For example, if the “safety” tag has been added to several Documents, searching for “safety” will display all those Documents without the need to remember the exact Document name.
- Click “Save” to add the document to the system or “Cancel” to exit without saving.
Edit Document
To edit a Document, click “Edit” from the Documents Screen. Update the desired information and click “Save” to save the updates or “Cancel” to exit without saving.
Users can upload only one document at a time. The system replaces the current document if the user tries to upload multiple documents.
